THERE WAS NO COUP IN HONDURAS – the facts prove it
It was Honduran Marxist ex-President Zelaya who was attempting to hijack the Honduran Constitution by pushing for a permanent re-election (like Chavez in Venezuela). The Honduran courts, congress and the military removed Zelaya from power according to their rules & Constitution. Here are the facts:

CONSTITUTION OF HONDURAS: (Spanish, via Honduran Congress) TITLE V: POWERS OF THE STATE Chapter VI, Article 237 .- The presidential term is four years and will begin the twenty-seventh day of January following the date on which the election was conducted. TITLE VII: THE REFORM AND THE CONSTITUTION OF Inviolability Chapter I, Article 374 .- It can not be reformed, in any case, Article, this Article, the constitutional articles which refer to the form of government, the national territory, the presidential term, the ban to be new President of the Republic The citizen who has played under any title and refers to those who can not be President of the Republic for the subsequent period. (Curious note: in the google translation it says “It may be reformed”, however in the Honduran Constitution it clearly starts by saying “No”, that it cannot be reformed.) video Obama being a constitutional law professor and a lawyer should have read the Honduran Constitution first. Also, Obama fails to mention that some of these leaders opposing the removal of Zelaya led coups before: Chavez in 1992, Ortega in 1979, Castro in 1959…. Who doesn’t know the UN is left-wing?		Why was Zelaya removed immediately? According to Article 239: “No citizen who has already served as head of the Executive Branch can be President or Vice-President. Whoever violates this law or proposes its reform, as well as those that support such violation directly or indirectly, will immediately cease in their functions and will be unable to hold any public office for a period of 10 years.” Notice that the article … says “immediately” – as in “instant,” as in “no trial required,” as in “no impeachment needed.”

● LOVE FOR COCAINE ZELAYA SINGS TO COCAINE & ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION TO U.S.		● TIMELINE 03/23/2009 The Executive [Zelaya] issued Executive Order PCM-05-2009 (Spanish) which drives for an unconstitutional referendum called Cuarta Urna (Forth Urn/ballot box) calling for a National Constituent Assembly that will change their Constitution. The referendum was set for June 2009. Zelaya promoted this referendum via national TV & radio but never released the Executive Order to be published in the official newspaper La Gaceta, making it impossible to legally challenge it. This was an improper behavior of the Executive Power according to Honduran law. 03/25/2009 The Public Ministry (MP) through its Attorney General issued a Statement (Spanish) against PCM-05-2009 stating that “on Monday March 23, 2009, at night, the President of the Republic [Zelaya] in Council of Ministers issued an Executive Order [PCM-05-2009] aimed at a popular practice …to determine if there is interest or popular will for …installing a fourth urn to decide on the convocation of a National Constituent Assembly to approve a new Constitution…they are using means or procedures that violate or ignore what this Constitution and the laws establish.” They also stated that then-President Zelaya did not have the authority to promote or approve a consultation to change the Constitution. News report (Spanish) 05/08/2009 The Public Ministry (MP) files a lawsuit against the illegal Executive Order and prosecute illicit purposes. 05/12/2009 The Administrative Court accepted the application filed by the MP. 05/20/2009 The legal representative of the State, the PGR, advocates a suspension of the consultation, as requested by the MP. 05/27/2009 The Court ruling allowing the application to suspend the act, that is to say, it suspends the consultation. 05/29/2009 The Court clarified that the ruling applies to any resolution issued to hold the consultation. 05/29/2009 The Executive [Zelaya] issued Executive Order PCM-027-2009 which ordered the Armed Forces (FFAA) to support illegal consultation. 06/18/2009 Court orders the Armed Forces not to support the illegal referendum (Spanish). The ruling leaves with no value or effect Decree PCM-027-2009, so the Armed Forces are not required to comply with illegal orders from Zelaya. 06/25/2009 Zelaya responded by dismissing the military chief and by pushing forward with his plans of perpetuating himself in power a-la-Chavez (Spanish). The Armed Forces in Honduras have constitutional duties during the election process under the orders of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (Spanish) but cannot do participate in anything unconstitutional/illegal. 06/25/2009 Honduran Supreme Court reinstated the military chief (PDF of Court Order, Spanish) 06/25/2009 The Executive issued Executive Order PCM-020-2009 (PDF) to change the word consultation for survey, both Executive Orders/decrees without value by court order. 06/25/2009 The Attorney General from the Public Ministry (MP) & The Supreme Court issued an INJUNCTION AGAINST ZELAYA (PDF from Supreme Court: see item 8 & page 31) for crimes against the government, treason, abuse of authority and usurpation of functions. The Supreme Court ordered the Armed Forces to arrest & remove Zelaya (Spanish) 06/26/2009 The Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) outlaws the opinion survey because it violates the Constitution and laws. 06/26/2009 The Executive [Zelaya] published Executive Order PCM-019-2009 (PDF) which was dated May 26, 2009, “preventing the public to have access to it, but until June 26, through a chain of radio and television.” As stated on PCM-019-2009, with this new decree Zelaya deletes his previous Executive Order PCM-005-2009 which was never published (so it could not be legally challenged). REASONS TO OPPOSE CAP & TRADE:
● IT WILL BE THE LARGEST TAXATION IN U.S. HISTORY (WSJ, Gateway)
● IT WILL RAISE ENERGY TAX & THUS RAISE ALL PRICES -It is an energy tax in disguise that by 2035 will raise: (Heritage, CBO) -Electricity prices by 90 percent -Gasoline prices by 58 percent -Home heating oil by 56 percent -Natural gas prices by 55 percent	OBAMA SAID: “CAP & TRADE WILL CAUSE ELECTRICITY RATES TO SKYROCKET !!”
-Energy is at the center of our economy, everybody needs it. So, raising energy costs will raise prices across the board -High energy prices will hit American industry & American consumers -Raising prices will hurt senior citizens, the poor, and the unemployed the worst -It will make you choose among energy, groceries, clothing, etc. -It will cost American families nearly $3,000 a year (bet you this will be more) -It’s in effect a hidden regressive tax -The poor are hit hardest with what is in effect a hidden regressive tax -Leaves taxpayers at the whim of government to redistribute income rather than letting taxpayer keep their hard earned dollars
● IT DOESN’T HELP THE ENVIRONMENT: -The maximum drop to the earth’s temperature might be no more than 0.07 degrees Celsius by the year 2050.  -This decrease is so negligible that we cannot even estimate the absolute mean surface temperature of the earth within 0.07.  -It provides incentives to emit MORE carbon, not less.  It will turn carbon emissions into commodities that can be bought & sold -In Europe carbon emissions have gone up despite the EU’s cap and trade of 2005. -EPA doesn’t want you to see this report ● IT DOESN’T WORK WHERE IT HAS BEEN TRIED:   -EU’s carbon emission levels have risen despite their 2005 cap and trade system  -12 of the 15 EU nations participating in the 1997 Kyoto Protocol (greenhouse gas reduction) failed to meet their reduction targets -EU emissions rose 2.1 % between 2000 – 2004.  But the U.S. only 1.3% without cap & trade system -EU is moving away this regulations because the taxing did nothing for the environment -Australia efforts are failing as well ● IT WILL COST AMERICANS JOBS:  -The energy costs will rise, so U.S. businesses will:  (1) produce less (which hurts jobs as companies would have to compensate for a drop in production), or (2) buy carbon allowances to keep production up (threaten jobs as companies would have to devote more internal resources to allowances) -About 1.2 million to 2.3 million jobs would be lost under a cap and trade scheme -It will outsource manufacturing jobs and hurt free trade (other countries like Mexico do not have cap & trade regulations) -It failed in Spain: It costed 2.2 regular job for every “green job” created with government money in Spain over the last eight years. 1 in 10 of the newly created green jobs became a permanent job. ● IT THREATENS TO PUT THE U.S. AT A COMPETITIVE DISADVANTAGE WITH OTHER COUNTRIES: -Though the E.U. and the United States may be buying into cap and trade, China and India and Mexico (countries without cap and trade) are more than willing to pick up the U.S. slack and bolster their already robust manufacturing sectors. ● IT PREVENTS MARKET FORCES FROM WORKING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT:  -Major energy companies such as ExxonMobil and Shell have invested hundreds of millions of dollars in technologies that capture and store carbon as well as lower carbon alternative energy sources.  A cap and trade system however, sets up perverse incentives that will distract these and other companies from market-based solutions to curb carbon output.  Resources instead will be funneled to the artificial market for carbon allowances that cap and trade sets up. -What will happen next if cap-and-tax passes? ● IT OPENS THE DOOR TO MASSIVE FRAUD & CORRUPTION: -Britain’s biggest polluting companies are abusing a European emissions trading scheme (ETS) designed to tackle global warming by cashing in their carbon credits in order to bolster ailing balance sheets.”  -Enron’s support for a cap and trade scheme that would allow them to dominate this new, made-up market for carbon. ● IT THREATENS TO BUST THE FEDERAL BUDGET:  -It adds undue pressure on our fragile budget & sink us deeper into recession (remember the failed “stimulus” and “bailouts”?) -Government will also be affected with the same challenges of higher energy costs that consumers do (CBO) -The fall in production would lead to a loss of federal government tax revenues. ● IT WILL GIVE GOVERNMENT MORE POWER TO CONTROL OUR LIVES -It will impose 397 new federal regulations and 1060 new mandates. ● IT SETS A DANGEROUS PRECEDENT: -Extremist environmentalists believe such proposals don’t go far enough and are willing only to endorse them as “a good first step.” -They will force for more draconian regulations in the future. Once you open the door….
● EPA DOESN’T WANT YOU TO KNOW: CEI reports: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) suppressed an internal study critical on their climate science. Internal EPA emails “indicate that the report was kept under wraps and its author silenced because of pressure to support the Administration’s agenda of regulating carbon dioxide.  The report finds that EPA, by adopting the United Nations’ 2007 “Fourth Assessment” report, is relying on outdated research and is ignoring major new developments.
