	A protester, angered by the presence of a news crew inside Zuccotti Park Friday morning, threatened to stab Fox 5 News reporter John Huddy. Police arrested the protester. [...] “This is somebody I’ve come across several times for the last few days,” Huddy said. “He threatened to stab me in the throat with a pen. He ripped the mic out of my hand.” “I have a meeting with Bloomberg,” said the incoherent protester. Cops arrested the man — identified as Dustin Taylor, 34, of Millerburg, Ohio — and charged him with grand larceny, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, and harassment, the NYPD said. Huddy had gone into the park to find out what protesters were doing to fight the significant drop in temperatures.

Increases in federal subsidies or student loan bailouts shift the burden of paying for college from the student—the person directly benefiting from college—to the millions of Americans who did not graduate from college.” “It also penalizes the taxpayers who have worked hard to pay off their own student loan debt—and who are still making payments—by having to pay off the student loan debt of those who took out more of a loan burden than they could handle, in some cases, to earn a degrees of questionable market value.”

NEIGHBORS POLICING NEIGHBORS Instead of reducing (or completely eliminating) the lavish lifetime pensions and benefits given to government employees, politicians are using the economic recession and the budget constraints as an opportunity to extend the government tentacles at the expense of our individual freedom. Liberals and useful idiots are gradually, but surely, encroaching on the rights of the individual. In Florida, the city of Hollywood wants residents to rat out neighbors. This program is eerily similar to the Castro’s neighborhood snitch groups on every block in Cuba known as Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDRs). They keep watch on everybody and everything.

	HOLLYWOOD, FL. — This city has a solution for its shortage of code enforcers: They’re having residents rat out their neighbors. It’s like a traditional neighborhood watch, but instead of crime, volunteers will be on the lookout for grime. And they’ll put neighbors on notice for basic problems ranging from overgrown grass and unkempt shrubs to parking on the lawn and putting trash out too early. The trained volunteers are not authorized to issue violation notices. Instead, the notices will serve as warnings. If the issue is not resolved within seven days, then a code enforcement officer will follow up and issue “a violation on the spot,” said Maj. Joseph Healy, who brought the idea forward after reading about it in a magazine. “We’re not trying to pick on our resident neighbors,” said Terry Cantrell, president of the civic association in Hollywood Lakes, where the initiative is being tested. “What this program is going to do is hopefully gain compliance in a gentle way without fines.” Already, 25 people have been trained for the pilot program, the first of its kind in Broward. If all goes well, it will eventually expand citywide. Still, it already has critics. “It rubs me the wrong way,” said Doug Barnard, a six-year resident of the South Lakes neighborhood. “All it takes is for one nosy neighbor and life can be hell for everyone.” [...] In an effort to protect their identities, volunteers will be assigned a number that will be known to code enforcement and noted on each notice. “People were afraid of retribution,” Healy said. “So we try to keep it anonymous somewhat.” Similar programs are underway in Port St. Lucie, Austin, Texas, Garden Grove, Calif., and Monterey Park, Calif., Healy said. Vice Mayor Patty Asseff, who lives in the Lakes neighborhood, thinks the program makes perfect sense, especially when budget constraints and unfilled vacancies have dwindled the city’s code enforcement ranks from 19 to 12. 	Drivers in Miami today were likely doing double takes on Wednesday as they passed what looked like a banker hanging by a noose from a telephone wire alongside a Florida highway. To accompany his Occupy Wall Street-themed mural, the international graffiti artist known by his street name Above, took his message a step further by adding the rather life-like hanging dummy to his display… ‘I tried to clothe him and dress him up as if he was what I imiagined (sic) a Wall Street banker might wear,’ Above said to MailOnline…I think it’s my retaliation to how far Wall St, has gotten in general. ‘It is shocking to me when I look at these numbers when I see that one per cent of the people have all of the money,’ he continued. The mannequin was hung next to a mural that he painted along the northbound side of the I-95 highway which stretches from Miami up the east coast. Making it’s connection to the Occupy Wall Street protests, the mural reads ‘Give a Wall St banker enough rope and he will hang himself’.

	Michael Moore is a controversial documentary filmmaker with a net worth of $50 million. Moore’s biggest three movies: Bowling For Columbine, Fahrenheit 911 and Capitalism A Love Story have earned over $300 million at the box office. Fahrenheit 911 raked in $230 million in theaters and another $3 million in DVD sales. After the theaters take their traditional 50% cut, that leaves roughly $130 million. Take away marketing, production and distribution expenses and Moore is conservatively left with $80 million. Cuba’s Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR)

In the Age of Obama, we hear more about government seeking informants and snitches (i.e., Obama’s snitch website or Obama’s White House seeking email informants). This is nothing new. Big-government ideologues have historically created snitch brigades to control their citizens. Meet the CDRs.
Castro’s neighborhood snitch groups: The Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDRs) Humberto Fontova explained what they are:
	Snitching is essential to totalitarian regimes. Both Stalin’s and Castro’s Gulags were filled primarily by acting on tips from snitches. Such snitching has a snowball effect. The very fact that you’re snitching gives some people a (usually false) sense of protection from regime police because they’re assisting them. Then as more and more people get rounded up, more and more people feel threatened, so more and more of them snitch — more fear, more arrests; neighbor snitches against neighbor, cousin against cousin, even sons and daughters against parents. [...] In the mid-1990′s, the Catholic Human Rights group Pax Christi, headquartered in Belgium, visited Cuba and secretly conducted a study on the status of the CDR’s… “Fear is the basic instrument of (Cuban) political control,” concludes the study. “There is one CDR for every 140 Cubans. The information at the State Security’s disposal can be used to threaten and intimidate anybody. There is no place to escape the tentacles of the State. Most ordinary Cubans reported that they remained intensely wary of CDR surveillance, even while conversing in their own homes.” These CDRs keep a file on every person in their beat (usually 2 city blocks in the cities) where they list all of the comings and goings, personal contacts, etc., in the hopes of detecting any revolutionary backsliding, which can be anything from a particularly snarky comment on a regime honcho or policy to playing hooky from the latest anti-imperialist rally in the Plaza de la Revolucion. The CDRs also supervise the issuing of the monthly food ration cards to all Castro’s subjects. “Food is a weapon” famously declared Stalin’s foreign minister, Maxim Litvinov. With a little imagination almost everyone can visualize the Communist snitch-and-survive or snitch-and-reward process. At work, we’ve all seen that insufferable brownnoser who hopes to mitigate or camouflage his incompetence or laziness by sucking up to the boss. We’ve all seen that gossipy little backstabber, that busybody shrew get promoted over their betters. Somehow after every flush of “downsizing” many of these Eddie Haskells and Mrs Kravitzes keep bobbing back to the surface. To some extent this is human/corporate nature. All organizations favor “team players.” In the private sector these kinks are eventually straightened and the brownnosing incompetents axed. Either that, or the company goes under. There are stockholders and customers to keep happy. But under Communism this swinishness is the very essence of the system. There is only a Maximum Leader to keep happy.
