Well, you are subsidizing it. Despite all the populist talk coming from the Obama Administration & Democrats, taxpayer money is being used to subsidize Democrat-donor car companies. On top of that, Average Americans won’t be able to afford these taxpayer-subsidized green cars: $89,000 Karma or the $109,000 Roadster.

WSJ: HYBRID CAR/MODEL: Fisker/Karma PRICE: $89,000 - Company backed by former Vice President Al Gore has just gotten a $529 million U.S. government loan to help build a hybrid sports car in Finland that will sell for about $89,000. -Fisker’s top investors include Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, a veteran Silicon Valley venture-capital firm of which Gore is a partner. Employees of KPCB have donated more than $2.2 million to political campaigns, mostly for Democrats, including President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a nonpartisan group that tracks campaign contributions. ELECTRIC CAR/MODEL: Tesla/Roadster PRICE: $109,000 - $465 million government loan was given to Tesla Motors Inc., purveyors of a $109,000 British-built electric Roadster. - Tesla is a California startup focusing on all-electric vehicles, with a number of celebrity endorsements that is backed by investors that have contributed to Democratic campaigns.

CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN (ONLY IN BIZARRO WORLD)! Did government think of the consequences of this artificial quick fix -This ‘Cash for Clunkers’ program was supposed to last 4 months, but it lasted 4 days. -If government could not estimate the cost of this silly program, how can they manage our health care? -This program proves that if you hand “free” stuff to people they will come in droves for the quick fix & not think of the consequences. The same will happen with state-run healthcare: people will crowd the system because they perceive it is “free.” -Why destroy well running cars? -Why add more junk to the environment that government is so concerned about? -What will happen to people who can only afford a clunker? (About 250,000 cars have been destroyed under this program) -What will happen to the auto parts industry or the junk yards? -What will happen if you need a part for your car? (Will you be descriminated for not having an “ecofriendly” car?) -Will people participating in this program be able to pay the monthly car payments and higher insurance costs for a newer car? (The subprime mortgage crisis started when government tried to fix the market by forcing banks to give loans to people who could not pay them back) -How many of those participating in the program do not have health insurance and could use that money to buy coverage instead? -Dealerships are backlogged with so many transactions & tons of paperwork. -Will government now offer cash for our food, clothes, appliances, entertainment, etc.? -When will they stop giving our money away? etc., etc.,		Killing a well running “clunker” What destroyed our car industry -

A Social Security Administration (SSA) “motivational” conference held at a luxury resort used at least $700,000 taxpayer money to pay for dancers, motivational speakers, hotel entertainment, an after-hours casino trip, family members staying at the hotel, dance party, airfare, food, etc… ESTIMATED COST: at least $700,00 according to SSA plus costs for organizing the conference, etc. CLASSES: “Emotional Intelligence,” “Techniques to Empower You,” “Mentoring the Generations,” etc. CONFERENCE INFO: Conference “2009 Management Tango” (as referred on all signage at the resort) held at Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa from July 7 – 9, 2009 EXCUSE FOR WASTE: “To reduce stress because of a growing number of death threats made against them.” “To enhance the quality and effectiveness of the SSA service to the American public.” NOTES TO PONDER: “It’s especially frustrating when you have people who truly are disabled who will wait years just to get their case heard and years more just to get a little help,” said Congressman Kevin Brady of Texas. KANSAS CITY TEACHERS ON TAXPAYER-FUNDED CONFERENCE GO TO DISCO

All this amidst $44 million in budget cuts, school closings, and terminations threatening more than 100 teacher positions. ESTIMATED COST: $103.586.25 budget for food, lodging and mileage was approved by district officials and the Kansas City School Board for this teachers’ seminar. Out of federally subsidized Title 1 and Title 2 Funds, tax dollars did pay for $61,000 in hotel rooms at the Lodge of the Four Seasons, $22,000 for food, and $20,000 for mileage, etc. Taxpayers didn’t pay for their drinks.
