OBAMA BROKE HIS CAMPAIGN PROMISES TO PROTECT RACISTS
Obama and his Department of Justice in their zeal to protect the black racists of the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) dismissed a lawsuit already won against these thugs for voter intimidation. By doing that, Obama broke so many of his campaign promises.

Here is a reprint of our October 2008 article listing Obama’s campaign promises on Civil Rights, Crime, Law, and Transparency.
Is it OK for Obama to discriminate against whites?

Candidate Barack Obama and his wife Michelle

————————————Original Post————————————
CANDIDATE OBAMA HAS PROMISED TO:
Have a civil rights division to enforce laws fairly and justly
Have a system of justice that is not just us, but is everybody
Ban racial profiling and eliminate disparities in criminal sentencing
Ban racial profiling
Protect the right to vote
Strengthen civil rights enforcement
Bring people together and strengthen enforcement
Move beyond our divisions
Have a colorblind America: No black or white America–just United States of America
Stop the politicization of the DOJ
Have transparency

^ Have a civil rights division to enforce laws fairly and justly:
CANDIDATE OBAMA: “If I am president, I will have a civil rights division that is working with local law enforcement so that they are enforcing laws fairly and justly.” “I believe that the pursuit of racial equality, of the perfection of this union, is not just a particular special interest issue of the African-American community. That is how all of us are going to move forward.” “And to the extent that we don’t deal with those issues, those longstanding, deep seeded issues, we will continue to be hampered. We will be competing with the world with one hand tied behind our backs.”

^ Have a system of justice that is not just us, but is everybody:
CANDIDATE OBAMA: “That the criminal justice system is not color blind. It does not work for all people equally, and that is why it’s critical to have a president who sends a signal that we are going to have a system of justice that is not just us, but is everybody.” “But it requires some political courage, because oftentimes you are accused of being soft on crime when you deal with these issues.”

^ Ban racial profiling and eliminate disparities in criminal sentencing:
“Obama and Biden will work to ban racial profiling, eliminate disparities in criminal sentencing, and encourage
the criminal justice system to be free of racially discriminatory laws so that it works for all, regardless of race, wealth, or other circumstances.”

^ Ban racial profiling:
“Obama and Biden will ban racial profiling by federal law enforcement agencies and provide federal incentives to state and local police departments to prohibit the practice.”

^ Strengthen civil rights enforcement:
“Obama and Biden will staff the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department with lawyers who prosecute civil rights violations, employment discrimination, and hate crimes. instead of political cronies.”

^ Bring people together and strengthen enforcement:
“[A] president has to set a tone of bringing all people together as opposed to excluding people. And being willing to talk about racial issues when they arise and having a justice department, a civil rights division of the justice department that is aggressive about investigating…we need to strengthen the enforcement of hate crimes legislation…this is something that is very important to me…. It is something that I will prioritize as president but I don’t want to have to wait until I am.”

^ Move beyond our divisions
Barack Obama: “[P]eople want to move beyond our divisions…They are desperate to move beyond the same, old arguments that we’ve been having and start actually getting something done in this country.”
Source: 2008 Congressional Black Caucus Democratic debate (Jan 21, 2008)

^ Have a colorblind America: No black or white America–just United States of America
“A line in my speech at the 04 Democratic National Convention struck a chord. “There is not a black American and white American and Latino America and Asian American–there is the United States of America.” For them, it seems to capture a vision of America finally freed from the past of Jim Crow and slavery, Japanese internment camps and Mexican braceros, workplace tensions and cultural conflict–an America that fulfills Dr. King’s promise that we be judged not by the color of our skin but by the content of our character.”

^ Stop the politicization of the DOJ:
