RECALL ELECTION: Today Starts Early Voting To Recall Miami-Dade County Mayor Alvarez & Commissioner Seijas (Here: Sample Ballot, Hours, Locations)

Posted by FactReal on February 28, 2011

YOUR CHANCE TO RECALL TWO ABUSIVE POLITICANS:
Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez and Commissioner Natacha Seijas

Among their many misdeeds, Mayor Alvarez and Commissioner Seijas hired private investigators to intimidate citizens, misused the taxpayers’ money, voted to raise property taxes while making sure unions and public employees continue receiving great salaries and benefit packages. Remember the list of 3,000 county employees making over $100,000 yearly and some over $200,000? While Miami residents have been negatively impacted by the severe economic recession, high unemployment, and lower property values, Alvarez and the Miami Commissioners kept their great benefits and perks such as the $800 monthly car allowance all paid by the taxpayers. When taxpayers asked them not to raise taxes during a recession, these Miami politicians mocked them. Commissioner Seijas said, “Recall? Bring it on!”
Well, here is the recall.
