|● Robaina using the Obama stimulus in Hialeah
This is the reason Robaina can claim he has not raised taxes in Hialeah – he has been using other people’s money to finance his pet projects.
– Uses Obama’s “stimulus” money to finance projects (Just like Charlie Crist)
– Admits using Obama’s so-called stimulus to finance Hialeah projects
– NEW: Buys votes with taxpayer money
● Robaina believes in global warming and pushes the “green” agenda in Hialeah
No rational person wants to destroy their own habitat, but it is wrong when politicians use government muscle to impose on Americans their apocalyptic beliefs in the theory of “man-made global warming” which relies on questionable science.
They want kids to hate oil. Did they teach the kids that to be truly “green” they will have to get rid of all these petroleum-based products?

On March 23, 2009, Robaina went in front of the Miami-Dade commission to express his support for the stadium. The commissioners’ minutes of that meeting indicate: “Mayor Julio Robaina, City of Hialeah, noted he supported this proposed resolution. He pointed out the City of Hialeah had voted in straw ballots since 1999 in favor of the Marlins staying in the County. He noted the Marlins and Major League Baseball had committed to dedicated funding sources for the baseball academy in Hialeah to serve the youth of South Florida.”
