Obama: Americans Not Better Off Than Four Years Ago (Video)

Posted by FactReal on October 6, 2011

…but then he goes on to promote his next stimulus (a.k.a. Jobs bill which Democrats don’t want to vote for.) He will never learn. Most Americans realize that all of Obama’s economic “stimuli” and bailouts have not worked. But Obama wants more. It is obvious that his radical ideology crushes reason and common sense.

Obama’s Fiscal Record: A Brief History

Posted by FactReal on July 20, 2011

Via Committee on the Budget of the U.S. House of Representatives: (Hat tip: Mark Levin)
Despite newfound concern with the debt overhang stifling economic growth, President Obama’s record falls far short of his rhetoric.  Let’s review the decisions made by President Obama and Congressional Democrats over the past couple of years, and the disappointing results of their policy choices:

January 20, 2009
President Obama sworn into office

  • President tells the American people in his Inaugural Address: “Those of us who manage the public’s dollars will be held to account, to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day, because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.” [http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/inaugural-address]
  • Debt Held By Public = $6.31 trillion [Does not include Intragovernmental Holdings or Debt]

February 17, 2009
President Signs into Law the Spending Stimulus

  • The stimulus adds $821 billion in new spending according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).
  • The White House promises this infusion of spending and borrowing would keep unemployment rate below 8%.  As millions of Americans are painfully aware, that promise was broken.
  • Debt Held by Public = $6.48 trillion

February 26, 2009
President Issues FY2010 Budget

  • The President’s budget adds $2.7 trillion in new debt in FY2010 and imposes $1.4 trillion in new taxes.
  • Debt Held by Public = $6.58 trillion

March 11, 2009
President Signs FY2009 Omnibus Appropriations Act

  • The massive spending bill includes 8,696 earmarks at a cost of $11 billion.
  • The spending bill adds $19 billion in new spending above the baseline – an 8.6% spending increase.
  • Debt Held by Public = $6.66 trillion

Obama’s Economists: ‘Stimulus’ Cost $278,000 per Job

Posted by FactReal on July 6, 2011

Hat tip: Sweetness & Light
When the Obama administration releases a report on the Friday before a long weekend, it’s clearly not trying to draw attention to the report’s contents. Sure enough, the “Seventh Quarterly Report” on the economic impact of the “stimulus,” released on Friday, July 1, provides further evidence that President Obama’s economic “stimulus” did very little, if anything, to stimulate the economy, and a whole lot to stimulate the debt.

The report was written by the White House’s Council of Economic Advisors, a group of three economists who were all handpicked by Obama, and it chronicles the alleged success of the “stimulus” in adding or saving jobs. The council reports that, using “mainstream estimates of economic multipliers for the effects of fiscal stimulus” (which it describes as a “natural way to estimate the effects of” the legislation), the “stimulus” has added or saved just under 2.4 million jobs — whether private or public — at a cost (to date) of $666 billion. That’s a cost to taxpayers of $278,000 per job.

In other words, the government could simply have cut a $100,000 check to everyone whose employment was allegedly made possible by the “stimulus,” and taxpayers would have come out $427 billion ahead.

Furthermore, the council reports that, as of two quarters ago, the “stimulus” had added or saved just under 2.7 million jobs — or 288,000 more than it has now. In other words, over the past six months, the economy would have added or saved more jobs without the “stimulus” than it has with it. In comparison to how things would otherwise have been, the “stimulus” has been working in reverse over the past six months, causing the economy to shed jobs.

The actual employment numbers from the administration’s own Bureau of Labor Statistics show that the unemployment rate was 7.3 percent when the “stimulus” was being debated. It has since risen to 9.1 percent. Meanwhile, the national debt at the end of 2008, when Obama was poised to take office, was $9.986 trillion… It’s now $14.467 trillion — and counting.

Hialeah Mayor Julio ROBAINA BUYING VOTES with Taxpayer Money (Miami-Dade Mayoral Candidate)

Posted by FactReal on May 21, 2011

This is how Hialeah Mayor Julio Robaina gets citizens to vote in mass for him
(Hat tip: DatosReales)
Just days before the special election to vote for a new Miami-Dade County mayor, the article below comes out subtly promoting City of Hialeah Mayor and Miami-Dade County mayoral candidate Julio Robaina as the new Robin Hood giving away houses to the “poor.” The article confirms what we have been reporting: Mayor Julio Robaina is using the Obama so-called stimulus package (a.k.a. ARRA) to finance Hialeah projects that are visible to the voters.
Under Robaina’s administration, voters have seen new projects in Hialeah and many have benefited directly from Robaina’s giveaways despite the severe economic recession. But do they know that Robaina’s spending is adding to our debt, and thus, perpetuating the economic crisis?

Robaina, of course, uses every event to self-promote (i.e., a speech, a photo-op) and to let citizens to believe that “he did it” and “he built it” – as if he did it with his own money. He learned this very well from his über-leftist mentor Raul Martinez. Robaina fails to mention how he has added to the debt by using Obama’s “stimulus.” In other words, Robaina takes all the credit while voters around this nation and generations to come will be paying for his liberal largesse and pet projects.

Read the article carefully. The recipient of this taxpayer-funded house is a carpenter. The article doesn’t mention why this carpenter qualified for so much government assistance. He has a 1 year old, which indicates that he has enough physical stamina to…work.

Here is a rush translation:

Jeadciel Pupo, a carpenter who arrived seven years ago with his family from Cuba, made the dream of home ownership on Thursday in Hialeah, thanks to a housing subsidy program for low-income people.

Hialeah Mayor Julio Robaina, Pupo gave the keys to the residence of 720 East 6th Street. The property of three bedrooms and two bathrooms is worth $ 140,000, but Pupo only pay $ 300 a month for the next 20 years.

“I cannot believe it. I’m still dreaming,” Pupo said El Nuevo Herald. “This is the great American dream, I am very grateful.”

Pupo, who lives with his wife Emma and their children Jesse, 9, and Jazhiel, 1, is the first in the City of Hialeah to be benefited by the Neighborhood Stabilization Program from grants the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), said Frederick Marinelli, director of the Department of Human Services Grants and the City of Hialeah.

The program is promoted by the government to acquire, rehabilitate and sell foreclosed or abandoned homes to low-income residents.

Marinelli said that by being a first-time home buyer, Pupo received additional support under the federal stimulus program, American Recovery Reinvestment Act (ARRA), created in 2009.

Last August, the City of Hialeah bought the house in $ 82,000 to Wells Fargo Bank, who had seized it for nonpayment. Then invested another $ 60,000 repairing it completely. The renovation work included building a new bedroom, bathroom and laundry area.

In February, Emma went to the city to obtain information on homeownership assistance programs.

“I filled out some papers and I left,” said Emma. “In the following months they interviewed us a couple of times. Last Friday they called us to tell us that we had qualified for the house. We could not believe it.”

Since 2008, Pupo and his family occupied an apartment of two rooms at the Palm Center building, at 60 East 3rd Street. The landmark building of the Hialeah Housing Authority, painted in yellow and orange, is occupied by low-income tenants who pay moderate rents. Pupo paid $ 772 a month.

“We are very fortunate,” Pupo said. “Before we were getting aid to rent an apartment, but now they have given us tremendous help to make us homeowners.”

Marinelli said that as part of commitment to be a beneficiary of the program, Pupo may not sell the house in the next 20 years. If he does, he will have to pay the house value.

He added that because of the federal stimulus of about $ 3 million, the City will complete in July the construction of two new buildings, one of 33 apartments and one of nine, to be occupied by low-income people.

Hialeah Mayor Julio ROBAINA INDOCTRINATING our Kids (Video) (Miami-Dade Mayoral Candidate)

Posted by FactReal on May 19, 2011

Video shows Robaina and his friend indoctrinating kids with global warming fallacies and promoting submission to environmentalists. They urge them to only buy products with the environmentalist seal of approval.

Of course, there is also time to venerate Obama. After the indoctrination session and pointing to the children at a day care center in the city of Hialeah, he said:
“Everybody knows Obama? Today we have the new Hialeah Obamas.”

And there is more…watch the video:

No rational person wants to destroy their own habitat, but it is wrong when politicians use government muscle to impose on Americans their apocalyptic beliefs in the theory of “man-made global warming” which relies on questionable science.

They want kids to hate oil. Did they teach the kids that to be truly “green” they will have to get rid of all these petroleum-based products?

Could McDonad’s go into schools with the trojan horse lofty goal to eradicate world hunger and tell the kids to buy only products with the McDonald’s logo or seal of approval?

Uses Obama’s “stimulus” money to finance projects
Admits using Obama’s so-called stimulus to finance Hialeah projects
Indoctrinates kids with environmental fallacies
Pushes “green” environmental agenda
Gives showerheads away to “save the planet”

Hialeah Mayor Julio ROBAINA Admits Using Obama’s STIMULUS for Hialeah Projects (Miami-Dade Mayoral Candidate)

Posted by FactReal on May 18, 2011

As previously reported, government reports showed Robaina using Obama so-called stimulus to finance projects in Hialeah. No wonder Robaina can say that he did not raise taxes in Hialeah – taxpayers around the country are financing those Hialeah projects. American taxpayers and generations to come will be paying for Obama’s $789 billion “stimulus” package of 2009.

On his budget reports, Robaina admitted using Obama’s “stimulus” package which is also known as Recovery Act, or American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.

Robaina’s budget report for 2011:
On the City of Hialeah’s Budget for fiscal year 2011, Robaina indicated they finance their projects with funds from ARRA (Obama’s “stimulus”):
Seven large 30 foot buses ($317,000 per bus) and two 14 passenger minivans ($77,000 per minivan) will enhance the existing fleet of buses currently servicing the Hialeah residents. These buses and minivans will be purchased using the ARRA Federal Stimulus funds and will be placed into service approximately in November 2011; they have not been budgeted in this document since payment for the said buses will occur in FY 2012. […]

Four Hybrid recycle trucks costing approximately $360,000 each will be purchased using Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECB) (Special Revenue Fund 135 which was budgeted in FY 2010) will be placed into service in FY 2011.

The EECB* grant is funded by the Obama “stimulus.” Robaina used almost $2 million of that grant to buy 4 hybrid garbage trucks in order to “save the planet” from “global warming.”

Robaina’s financial report of 2009:
On the City of Hialeah’s Comprehensive 2009 Annual Financial Report, Robaina acknowledged receiving Obama’s “stimulus” money:
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 – The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) is an unprecedented effort to jumpstart our economy, preserve and create jobs, make investments in infrastructure, energy and science and provide unemployment assistance for state and local economic stabilization. The ARRA was signed into law by President Barrack Obama on February 17, 2009. The ARRA provides $787 billion in spending and tax relief projects. As of September 30, 2009, the City of Hialeah had been awarded approximately $12.9 million of Federal Stimulus Funding under the ARRA for various City projects which will commence in fiscal year 2010. […]

The City is also scheduled to receive approximately $35.7 million in funding for roadway reconstruction, improvement and development projects from Federal, State and County agencies. The funds to be received include: $7.2 million from ARRA $3.1 million from the Community Development Block Grant, $8.7 million from the Florida Department of Transportation and $15.8 million from Miami Dade Public Works Department.
