DOJ Sent Letter to Arrest Hunter Biden’s Biz Partner 2 Days before He Testifies Linking Joe Biden in Bribery Scheme

Posted by FactReal on July 30, 2023

Biden’s DOJ wants to put in prison Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s business partner, just two days before he is scheduled to testify in front of the House Oversight Committee and link Democrat Joe Biden and his son Hunter in the Biden family influence peddling scheme.

The DOJ wants a federal judge to schedule a date for Archer to surrender to the Bureau of Prisons to start his prison sentence on a separate case with a Native American tribe.

Miranda Devine from the New York Post tweeted today:

The DOJ is trying to arrest Devon Archer ahead of his bombshell testimony Monday about Joe Biden’s involvement in his son Hunter’s Ukraine business when he was VP. US attorney in the SDNY Damian Williams issued a menacing letter yesterday – Saturday – telling Judge Abrams to order Archer to go to jail immediately to serve a one year sentence for his fraud conviction.

The Government writes to apprise the Court of the status of the defendant Devon Archer’s appeal of his judgment of conviction, and to request that the Court set a surrender date for the defendant to report to a facility designated by the Bureau of Prisons to commence his term of imprisonment.

Rep. James Comer (R-KY), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, told Maria Bartiromo on her Fox News TV show this morning
Video and here.

The letter from the Dept. of Justice is trying to nudge the judge to go ahead and sentence Devon Archer for something unrelated to what we are going to be talking to him about tomorrow.

It’s odd that it was issued on a Saturday, and it’s odd that it’s right before he is scheduled to come in and have an opportunity to speak in front of the House Oversight Committee and tell the American people the truth about what really went on with Burisma [the corrupt Ukrainian energy company where Hunter Biden serve on the board of directors.] So, I don’t know if this a coincidence, Maria, or another example of the weaponization of the Dept. of Justice.

Archer is scheduled to testify tomorrow about the Bidens’ bribery scheme
Archer’s testimony will link Joe Biden and his son in the Biden family influence peddling:

Ex-friend of Hunter Biden, Devon Archer, alleges that then-Vice President Joe Biden spoke with Hunter’s business associates at least two dozen times, and is prepared to testify, under oath, to the House Oversight Committee

Comer wants Archer to tell the truth on Monday
Via Fox News:

Devon Archer could be in that category of Americans that just come and tell the truth. That’s all we want. We know that Devon Archer was on the board of Burisma with Hunter Biden. We know that Devon Archer has met and communicated many, many times with Joe Biden about Burisma and other things. So this is going to be an opportunity for Devon Archer, just to tell the truth. We have other bank statements that we’ve obtained that we have questions about pertaining to countries that we believe Archer may have knowledge of.

Comer: Biden legal team has threatened Archer
Via Fox News:

… So, you know, my hat’s off to Devon Archer when he shows up tomorrow. I know it’s tough. I know he’s been intimidated by the Biden legal team, but hopefully he saw what happened in that courtroom in Delaware last week. And there are good people in the justice system. And we saw that judge stand up and reject the obvious sweetheart plea deal that the Department of Justice gave the President’s son. I know that the President’s legal team has been telling our witnesses that they don’t need to cooperate with the committee, that nothing’s going to happen to the Bidens.

Response from Archer’s Counsel
Via Jim Hoft:

However, Archer’s counsel responded, “Mr. Archer believes it is premature to set a report date in light of his anticipated continuing appeal as well as the newly-discovered sentencing error that the government has now conceded. Counsel for Mr. Archer will put in a response to the Government’s request by Wednesday.”
