RUSH TRANSCRIPT – MARK LEVIN’S OPENING REMARKS (July 30, 2023) – [1:22] LEVIN: The purpose of special counsel is to have a prosecutor that is outside main DOJ so you don’t have conflict of interest or the appearance of conflict of interest. – It is not to set up your own federal government law firm with unlimited resources, i.e., 60 prosecutors and investigators to target a former U.S. president [like Jack Smith is doing,] – Jack Smith was sent to the Hague because he was a lousy, overzealous, failed prosecutor who formerly head the Public Integrity Section of the Dept. of Justice[4:23] LEVIN: I’m trying to show you the incestuous relationship [of Jack Smith team investigating Trump]. These people coming out of main Justice, U.S. Attorney’s office – mostly Democrats, Democrat operatives, they have known each other for decades. So are many of te judges who have come out of main Justice…This is why Republicans don’t have a chance when they are caught up in something involving the DOJ, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the District of Columbia. They don’t have a chance. The grand juries are chosen from a population that voted 5% for Trump and 93% for Biden. The Court’s lopsided Democrats, lopsided Obama/Biden [appointees.][7:00] Jack Smith did – he brought all of his guys back, all the people who have abused the law in the past, all the people who have abused and targeted individuals and turned them into defendants in the past. He brought them all into his “special independent” counsel office. This is why all those original charges were brought by the grand jury in D.C. because where they were supposed to go – and investigating all these months – was in Florida.
